Since its introduction in the 1990’s as a structural product for cooling towers, FRP has quickly become the most cost effective and reliable cooling tower structural material available & ICS has taken a leading position providing well designed and long lasting FRP structure Crossflow and Counterflow cooling towers. Lighter and much more cost efficient than concrete and basically inert and highly durable in the cooling tower environment, FRP has become the go to material for owners and EPC’s when choosing cooling tower structural materials. Fiberglass shapes are manufactured using the pultrusion process which results in high strength members which are easily & reliably QA/QC checked before leaving the shop. Whereas concrete is poured at site and wood can warp or deteriorate in shipping, FRP is a known quality product at the factor and when it arrives at site.
